The anticipated start date for this project is October 1, 2007, and is anticipated to last nine (9) months or longer.

Scope of Work Summary

Under the direction of the Client Data Administration/Quality Assurance Section Manager, the Quality Assurance Analyst shall provide Quality Assurance (QA) services to the Client. The QA Analyst performs QA reviews of project deliverables, assesses compliance to the Client standards, documents findings, and validates QA corrections. The QA Analyst will also perform QA activities, as needed, in order to resolve other system problems.

Experience

Contractor Required Skills (applicants must meet all of the Required Skills to be considered):

Knowledge and experience in applying the principles of quality assurance within a project and maintenance environment.

Previous quality assurance experience in following quality policies, standards, and procedures that apply to an information technology project.

Experience with all phases of the system development life cycle of an information technology project.

Experience with technology standards, QA best practices, and familiarity with California State agencies.

2 years experience performing QA activities for information technology projects, including QA reviews and validations and the related written documentation.

Experience and knowledge of information technology testing methodologies.

Experience in reviewing and writing system requirements.

Ability to meet project schedule deadlines and effectively communicate both orally and in writing.

Contractor Desired Skills:

Experience with mainframe projects using Natural programming language.

Experience with structured testing for unit, integration, and system testing efforts.

Familiarity with Client’s applications and Client's Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.

Familiarity with IEEE standard documentation.

Familiarity with large-scale systems.
