Responsiiblities:

Perform day-to-day production support of the mainframe applications.
Design and implement a solution that meets the needs defined during the requirements phase.
Design and conduct testing activities to ensure that application components meet stated requirements.

RESOURCE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of two (2) years full-time work in mainframe application development. Previous experience with environment configuration, security configuration and administration, service pack installation and package build and deployment is required.
A minimum of two (2) years experience administering a mainframe environment.
Experience in the application of “best practice” application development methodologies including quality processes such as requirements reviews, design reviews, code reviews and the development and implementation of effective testing strategies.
Knowledge of database concepts, theories and principles.
Thorough knowledge and routine use of the following tools and technologies:

- Adabas
- Natural
- Predict
- Z-O/S-JCL/Utilities
- Complete
- Entirex
- Cobol
- TSO
- Vision:builder
- Syncsort
- SAS

Experience with release management methodologies, processes and tools.
Ability to communicate orally or in writing to explain technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to quickly learn/understand existing applications and translate ideas or processes into technical solutions that will fit into the constantly changing business environment.
Ability to diagnose technical problems to determine the root cause and provide an optimal solution in a reasonable timeframe.
Ability to work independently and participate as a team member to meet the needs of clients and co-workers and to build productive, positive work relationships.
Experience in concurrently handling a number of development tasks with multiple complexities
