Install, customize, upgrade and maintain ADABAS, NATURAL, PREDICT, TRIM, and N2O software on mainframe computer platforms running z/OS.

Install, customize, upgrade and maintain the following associated software products running in similar environments: Information Builders (FOCUS and IWAY), and Computer Associates (DATACOM and IDEAL). Additional related products may be added at the request of the customers.
Provide database management support in the broad range of maintenance to include but not limited to tuning, backup and recovery, and monitoring.
Support the planning, scheduling, defining, and reporting of activities associated with large and complex database projects from both a technical and management oversight perspective.
Database projects to include: requirement assessments, integration of appropriate industry methodologies, and development of alternative solutions. Track project progress. This includes development of project controls and reporting functions.

Provide technical services to the customer on questions and issues relating to the database software maintained on these systems, including all changes and upgrades.

Support the customer problem resolution process to resolve errors in systems software which have been identified by the SMC. Report all findings and determinations for review and comment.

Support and cross-train Government employees within the Datacom/ADABAS/M204 team

Support SMC Mechanicsburg efforts to establish assured computing through the use of data sharing, SMS, and parallel sysplex among other techniques.

Keep software and DBMS environments in compliance with the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG). This includes but is not limited to keeping software at a vendor supported version, applying necessary security software patches within the required timeframe, and maintaining required documentation as outlines in the STIG.
