The State of Alaska is searching for a new team member for the State's centralized Adabas support group. This is a full-time position; the current incumbent is retiring. The position is located in the State capital, Juneau, which has a population of around 30,000 people. The area experiences a temperate maritime climate and is surrounded by ocean, mountains and the Tongas National Forrest. Residents enjoy a high quality of life, with many recreational activities including great fishing, hiking, wildlife viewing and boating opportunities. The locals also appreciate the incredible scenic beauty, low crime and minimal traffic.

The State of Alaska has supported Adabas and other SAG products since 1979. Most of the State's most critical systems are running on the mainframe utilizing z/OS 1.7, CICS 3.2, Adabas 7.4.4, Natural 4.2.3, Entirex 7.2 and many other SAG, CA and Treehouse products.

Primary job duties would be the support of Adabas, including software installation, DASD management, backup/recovery and performance tuning. Additional Adabas support duties could include the Adabas Online System, Adabas SAF, the Adabas Performance Analysis System (APAS), Adabas Native SQL, Adabas SQL Gateway and Treehouse replication products.

Other desirable skills include administration of Natural, Natural Security, EntireX Communicator, Predict, Entire Net-work, Entire Connection, Natural ISPF and Entire System Server.
