The City of Olathe is looking for a dedicated Developer/Programmer-Analyst. This
position's primary role is performing a variety of complex duties in the
implementation, testing and maintenance of the City's Utility Billing
application. Secondary tasks include providing solutions to users on a wide
range of computer related topics, generating ad-hoc reports, performing data
analysis, and a variety of technical duties as required. Good interpersonal
communication, ability to function as a member of a high-functioning team, and
ability to be self-motivated and self-reliant. 3-5 years experience with Linux
OS required (Red Hat Enterprise or compatible preferred); strong understanding
of relational database concepts required; familiarity with BASH and Perl
scripting languages and competency with Software AG NATURAL programming language
and ADABAS database is HIGHLY desired. Experience with Crystal Reports, AS/400
CL considered a plus. B.A./B.S. in Computer Science or related field preferred.
Must be able to pass a background investigation, physical, and drug screen. Have
a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
