The Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund is searching for new team members with
experience in ADABAS and Natural for a position as Programmer Analyst and/or Sr.
Programmer Analyst. This is a full time position, located at our office in Oak
Brook, Il, a suburb of Chicago. Salary/position title will be determined based
on the qualifications of the candidate. No relocation benefits available.

Prospective candidate's duties will include technical analysis and design,
hands-on involvement in all phases of application development life cycle
(architecture, technical design, application construction including coding,
debugging and unit-testing, QA reviews, system/integration-testing,
documentation, implementation, and support), technical and business impact
analysis, communication and coordination with business analysts and technical
peers, and other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
3+ years of technical analysis and architecture of large, mission
3+ critical applications utilizing NATURAL and ADABAS
Ability to work with business analysts to develop functional requirements and
technical design specifications Ability to work on multiple projects at the same
time Provide accurate detailed tasks lists and estimates Write and execute plans
for unit test and system/integration testing Execute to project plans, schedules
and budgets Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to lead
small project teams with strong organizational skills, positive attitude and
willingness to take ownership Investigate alternatives, make recommendations and
be able to sell ideas to solve short-term and long-term problems Identify
weaknesses and opportunities to improve processes Ability to mentor other
technical staff in the application of technology, standards, and techniques
Bachelor’s degree required; B.S. Degree in Information Systems or Computer
Science preferred
Other skills that are a plus:
Microsoft SQL Server, Struts, Tomcat, IIS Experience designing and developing
web applications (J2EE, JSP, SQL) that integrate with legacy mainframe
applications.
