Preamble

The contractor will perform various system programming and analysis activities related to the implementation and automation of a variety of small to medium sized mainframe system enhancements.

The estimated start date is January 20, 2009.

The total services period may be up to thirty-six (36) months, with an estimated 150 work hours per month. However, any initial contract will have an end term of June 30, 2010.

All work must be performed at the Client site.

Experience 

Proposed Personnel will be evaluated for expertise, education, and experience in the following categories:

- Experience in and knowledge of ADABAS/Natural
- Experience in and knowledge of complex integrated mainframe application systems
- Experience in elicitation and documentation of business requirements
- Experience in and knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology

Scope of Work Summary

Primary Responsibilities
- Follow the full system development life cycle methodology in developing quality solutions to meet customer needs
- Under general direction, formulate and define system scope and objectives
- Work at high technical level on all phases of application system analysis and programming activity
- Work with customers to identify and document business requirements
- Perform analysis to determine system and performance impact
- Develop or modify external business specifications
- Develop technical specifications, detailed test plans, test scripts, and test execution checklists
- Construct code to meet external and internal specifications
- Conduct unit and system integration testing
- Prepare release documents
- Participate in quality assurance peer reviews of business requirements, business and technical specifications, test documentation, and code
- Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results
- May be responsible for completion of a phase of a program/project
- May be responsible for leading a team of Developers
